Despite the Dose of Crazy
I never said I wasn't a little crazy, but I've been assured by the doctors that its the good kind of crazy.

Just a little bit crazy
I often hear "Yup, leave it to N to go THERE," followed by fits of laughter. Granted, I find myself funniest of all... in fact I think I'm down right hilarious (I also sing like Mariah Carey in the shower, dance like I should have been a part of the Russian Ballet in my kitchen, garden like Martha Stewart is my biological mom, and cook like Rachel Ray on steroids... In my head that is.) Ultimately, I try not to take life too seriously. Despite the dose of crazy, we all have very serious moments in life, that can't be laughed at, but trying to find the humor in things has often been the only thing that has kept me from a full blown funny farm meltdown, so I figured I would share this little dose of crazy with all of you out there in "the Internet."
I'm the ADHD mother of two delightful daughters, E - eighteen months, and A - 2 months, wife to an infinitely patient and tolerant husband, and part of a great group of mom/girl-friends who guzzle wine, get a bit rowdy, and give people a reason to stare when we get together. I work at a large corporation but in a smaller city in Virginia for a kick-ass boss that is the definition of 'unexpected.' Every day is an adventure, especially with the two mini-me's to drive me and mister crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope you all enjoy my random moments as much as I do.
March 14th?
As I was coming down from my Valentines Day sugar high last month, I was kindly reminded by my loving husband that March 14th was right around the corner (gotta give the guy credit for thinking ahead and not springing whatever it is on me at the last minute at least). What is March 14th you may ask? Well if you, like me, are clueless, a simple google search will fill you in. The very first entry returned links to Urban Dictionary who kindly informs us that March 14th is 'Steak and BJ Day.' The day is heralded as a day for us women to 'repay' the man in our life for his love, so basically the testosterone equivalent of Valentine's Day.
Yup, they actually made a day for it... The sex we are expected to provide for a Valentine's Day 'Job Well Done' (aka flowers, cheap candy, and dinner if we are lucky) is not enough gratitude. They want their Steak and to eat it to. (Yeah yeah, bad pun, I know!)
Honestly though, do we need a special day for BJ's? Of course, I had to ask the girl friends their personal stances on doing the deed. Responses varied from "I LOVE giving them, no special day required" to "I just say no" and everywhere in between. One of the husbands even got into hot water for not remembering more than 2 BJ's my girl friend had given him.
And where do I stand? Well, I use to LOVE giving BJ's. I considered myself an aficionado in the sausage blowing department. I was loud and proud when it came to my skills... And then, I got married.
It's not that I don't enjoy giving BJ's now, it's that I never really enjoyed the 'happy ending' that was my 'prize' for not having much of a gag reflex. And so now, it's a foreplay tool. I will give the best head on the planet, but just till you are good and ready to use it where it will do me some good too!
I'm not saying I won't ever give a BJ to completion again. I just reserve the right for it to be saved for special occasions... And good behavior. So we will see how the Mister behaves tonight. Maybe, just maybe, he will get his Steak and BJ day... I will hold off on the asparagus for dinner just in case. :-)
